"Its relaxed, secure atmosphere, comfortable rooms and great value make it popular with backpackers. It also has a large garden and terrace with views across the Cordillera Blanca."
The Rough Guide to Peru.

The Place

Located in a quiet street in northern Huaraz, Jo's place has grown and morphed over the years to offer a range of accommodation to suit just about everyone. It's owned and run by the Parsons family: Jo is English, Vicky is Peruvian, Stephanie and Clarita their 2 girls, Kitty the cat and Nipper the dog.
We have a dormitory which sleeps four, four rooms with a shared shower and toilet, and 5 rooms with private bathrooms. The garden is for everyone, although we make space for those who want to camp. There's a shared living room with fireplace, cable TV and maps, as well as outside seating and a barbecue area. The kitchen on the second floor is also shared, with great views of the surrounding peaks of the Cordillera Blanca from the comfort of our hammocks.
Additional services include trekking and mountaineering advice and organisation, flight and hotel reservations, luggage storage, breakfasts (full English, continental, american or vegetarian) and last but not least, British Sunday papers!
